Finish - Two

This quilt is my first to feature two animals. I intended to enter it into the Opposite Attract contest with SAQA, but I decided it wasn't good enough, and then failed to get new photos taken for over a month until we got to Dickey Lake in Montana on our drive back from a quick trip out there! It's a little smaller than my other work, but it was fun, I just don't think it's to my usual standard, and it's a $40 entry fee for up to three works, and I only had this one.I have been working on a ton of other things though and have two unfinished quilt tops, a quilt from the past that I have remade and am quilting (I've never made the same quilt twice until now), another clothing experiment that almost went right. I guess I have a lot to blog about soon!STATSSize –  27 1/2" x 41"Number of blocks – n/aTime to make – About 18 hours.Fabric – There's some Carolyn Friedlander, a load of wood prints, the sky is one of the painter style panels I bought a while ago and I just chose which part of the blue to sample.Binding Fabric – Faced with muslin.Backing - More of that muslin!Threads – Back is all Decobob, front has a lot of neutral thread, mostly Isacord.Batting – Two 80/20 Hobbs Heirloom scraps batt taped together, plus a layer of canvasQuilting- Natural free motion quilting simulating fur.
