A finish - Frost

Oh wow, so it turns out I have four unblogged quilts for 2019, so I guess I'll post about them in quick succession! Coming up soon - Pencil Pusher, Helsinki Square Dance 2 and High Flying Birds!This though is Frost, made in April 2019, lets see what I can remember about this one... It's really two blocks, a strip pieced hourglass block alternated with an applique orange peel. The borders have additional applique to finish off the sharper shapes, which I love! I originally designed it to be in blues and whites since the shape was inspired by icicles, but the editors at Quilter's World wanted a more colourful look, and so you will find it in the Winter 2019 issue called Quilted Tiles.
