PROCESS AND MATERIALS
As I go through the process, I’ll share images with you every step of the way. The quilt is made starting with a drawing from your photo, and then it is blown up to the size of the quilt. The shade is written on each section and then it is traced onto freezer paper and used as a cutting template for the fabric pieces. Which are selected from my stash of solids and blenders. The pieces have edges turned under before being appliqued together.
Any fabric preferences you may have will be noted to make sure your unique piece of art is entirely personal, or you can leave me to choose fabrics based on my style and experience.
Quilts are 100% cotton on the outside, with a 80% cotton batting, and have a canvas core for perfect hanging. They are washable at low temperatures and on a gentle setting. A sleeve will be provided on the back for easy hanging with dowel (not included). Shipping is by tracked mail only.
PAYMENT
Payment can be in person if you’re local to Calgary (and you can drop by to see the progress too) or by Paypal. I require a 40% deposit up front before beginning work, with the balance due once finished before shipping.
I can also work in installments to help spread the cost, starting with $100 to make the pattern and with every subsequent $110 showing you the progress you have paid for. This will be facilitated through Etsy and listings will be made for purchasing your installments. Because of fees on this platform, there will be an administrative fee of $50 built into the installments. Quilts are shipped once I have received payment in full.
